Inexpensive technologies: how Ukraine uses balloons in the war - an expert (photo)

According to Canadian physics and UAV specialist, balloons are not able to cause significant damage, but can cause inconvenience to the enemy and collect data for long -range drones. Ukraine uses inexpensive balloon technologies in combination with modern electronics in the war against the Russian Federation, in particular to gather information for drones of a long -range range. The pictures of balloons were analyzed by a Canadian physicist and UAV specialist with Nick Danielr.

The author of the publication noted that the balloon is a long cylinder filled with either helium or hydrogen. The beneficial load is distributed along the string under the balloon and includes a container with an inflammatory mixture, a container with electronics of the controller, a tracking device and ammunition. One photo shows that the controller is placed in a cylinder with lids printed on a 3D printer.

The ammunition is supported by a string passing through the wire loop connected to the controller's fee with two wires. As for the ammunition itself, it has an element printed on a 3D printer, attached with a rope and tape. According to the blogger, the ball is equipped with a Bluetooth module, which can be used by a ground crew to ensure proper operation during launching, as well as a GPS module.

The expert drew attention to the empty plastic bottle, noting that such bottles were also spotted in Russian balloons. "It is unlikely that Ukraine's balloons can cause significant harm. Most likely they are intended to cause inconvenience of Russia, as well as provide information for attacks by Ukrainian drones of a long -range radius. , - summed up the author of the publication.
