Only the first stage: Germany will urgently transfer the Armed Forces of Ukraine 10,000 artsnighters - General Bundeswehr

General Christian Freuding said that the main attention during the training of the Armed Forces fighters in Germany is paid to the treatment of the military equipment they supply Ukraine, including the tactics of weapons and their maintenance and repair. Germany will pass 10 thousand artillery ammunition from the Bundesver Arsenals in the coming days.

On March 27, the Head of the Situation Center of Ukraine at the Ministry of Defense of Germany, General Bundesver Christian Freuding, announced in an interview with Deutsche Welle. The general emphasized that Ukraine now needs "artillery shells, ammunition and missiles for modern air defense systems, as well as armored combat vehicles" for a successful reflection of Russian aggression.

According to Freuding, the supply of artillery shells will be carried out in three stages, and the closest supply will be the first within this program. In the second stage, which is envisaged for implementation in the medium term, Germany will support the Czech initiative. As part of this stage, Germany has decided to take on the purchase of 180 thousand shells, which she plans to transfer to Kiev in the second half of 2024.

In the long run, in addition to the Czech Republic Plan, Germany has concluded a bilateral agreement on the supply of Ukraine to another 100,000 shells from about the fourth quarter of this year. Which country was concluded with, Freuding has yet refused to meet. In an interview with DW, the General also told what the German instructors of the Ukrainian military were taught. "The past (2023. -Ed.

) The year of study at German landfills passed 10 thousand servicemen of the Armed Forces, in the first months of 2024-from three to four thousand. This year the German Defense Ministry is ready to provide such an opportunity for even more soldiers from Ukraine", - the General confirmed. Freuding said that the focus on training is focused on the handling of the fighting equipment that Germany supplies to Ukraine.

"Such training covers both the tactics of the use of certain weapons systems and their maintenance and repair," the military stressed. He noted that Ukrainian military personnel of various specialties, such as orderlies and snipers, are trained in Germany. They also teach in Germany the management of troops - from mouth to brigades and headquarters. At the same time, as the general emphasized, Ukrainian servicemen are "good students".
