The next goal of the Russian Federation is the Verkhovna Rada: the aggressor can "paralyze" the state - People's Deputy (video)

To spread: During the war with Ukraine, the Kremlin does not reject the opportunity to attack key state institutions, and the Verkhovna Rada can become one of the main goals. In the case of impact, parliament may lose its functionality, and this will make it impossible to make important decisions, continue martial law and jeopardize the vitality of the state.

About this during the broadcast of the program "Says the Great Lviv" on the channel was told by the People's Deputy from "Voice" Roman Kostenko and stressed that Russian propaganda positions the President of Ukraine as allegedly illegitimate, at the same time recognizing the legitimate only parliament. Because of this, the Verkhovna Rada becomes a potential goal, as its destruction could paralyze legislative activities and public administration.

"We know that in Russia there is a propaganda that positions the President of Ukraine as illegitimate. The only body that is recognized as legitimate is the Verkhovna Rada. The problem of government legitimacy arises because decisions are agreed with the President there, and they use it. He . . In addition, Kostenko emphasized that the enemy can try to prevent Ukraine in the continuation of mobilization and action of martial law, choosing a specific time when it will have the greatest effect.

According to him, Russia can use certain political or international events to demonstrate its power, and these plans already exist. Moreover, the deputy emphasized the need to have spare options for holding meetings of the Verkhovna Rada in the event of an attack.

He explained that even partial damage to parliament can paralyze the legislative activity: if during a meeting the rocket falls into the hall, the number of deputies may not be sufficient to form a coalition and make decisions, and this will make it impossible to continue martial law, declare mobilization and take other critical laws.

According to him, these threats are not hypothetical: in Russia there are already plans for a possible blow to the Verkhovna Rada, and the issue only in the time of their implementation. "Perhaps many, looking ether, think:" But let them hit the deputies, and we will be even better ". But I am not talking about specific deputies - I mean an institution without which the presence of people's deputies makes the state legitimate and viable. It should be taken into account.
