Prigogine can run for Russian Presidents in the 2024 elections - isw

American analysts have indicated that the founder of Wagner PEC draws parallels with each other and Vladimir Putin, and often criticizes the Russian government, which can speak of his political ambitions. The Russian entrepreneur and founder of Wagner PEC Yevhen Prigogin can use his current influence to participate in the 2024 presidential election. This is stated in the report of the Institute of War Study of March 28.

American analysts noted that in an interview with Russian state media on March 14, Prigogin imitated the manner of public speaking of the current President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. According to experts, the businessman wanted either to ridicule the Russian leader or to hint that he could become president of Russia.

In the same interview, Prigogine criticized the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, accusing the highest command of deliberately depriving the "Wagner" artillery shells. "Prigogine can try to parodize Putin's cinematographic style as part of a wider trolling campaign to attack the Kremlin or draw implicit parallels between Prigogine and the Cabinet of the President of Russia," the report reads.

Analysts indicated that on March 11, Yevgeny Prigogine Sarcastically stated that he intended to run for the Presidents of the Russian Federation in 2024. In addition, the entrepreneur often criticizes the current Russian government, accusing some officials of betrayal. Prigogine also questioned Putin's statement that Russian troops were allegedly fighting with NATO. He also said that he was not sure for the purposes of "denacification" because he does not know if the Nazis live in Ukraine.

"The recent behavior of Prigogine - regardless of his intentions - promotes the narrative in Russian society that Prigogine has great political aspirations in Russia," analysts summed up. It should be reminded that on March 19, the investigative journalist Christ Grozev informed the Forbes that Eugene Prigogine dreams of gaining real power and becoming at least the head of the staff.
