The offensive in Bakhmut has slowed down, but Russians can attack in other areas of the front - isw

According to analysts, reinforced offensive operations of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation can force the Armed Forces to leave Bakhmut or Avdiivka, but for this moment it is unlikely. The offensive of Russian forces in Bakhmut, in view of everything, slowed down. This was stated by analysts of the American Institute for War Study (ISW).

The report of March 22 states that the occupiers tried to attack in the south of Bakhmut, and the Armed Forces managed to counter-attack in the southwestern and northwestern outskirts of the city. Yes, the offensive potential of the Russian forces in this settlement decreases. According to analysts, the command of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation can relocate units to other directions.

"Russian troops are currently increasing their offensive operations in the Avdiivka area for the purpose of the settlement," the message reads. The report assumes that this is at the expense of loss of ability to advance in Bakhmut, as well as under the coledar. As experts stated, the personnel of the 136th separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation comes in the Avdeevsky direction.

"This is an obvious change in the dislocation - if it is not the result of an incorrect message from Russia - perhaps it indicates that the Russian forces have given priority to the intensification of operations around Avdiivka, not to renew the offensive on the coal," the report reads. According to analysts, reinforced offensive operations of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation can force the Armed Forces to leave Bakhmut or Avdiivka, but at this time it is unlikely.

"Russian troops can begin or intensify offensive operations in new directions, but these operations will most likely not produce tangible results," experts said. Earlier in the GUR, new goals of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Ukraine were named. According to the representative of the department Vadim Skibitsky, energy objects still remain the target of the Russian Federation, but in the future the enemy will focus on the logistics and clusters of the Armed Forces.
