There is still a demand: to whom and what Ukraine sells even during the war

In the 10 months of the war, Ukraine earned the most of selling agricultural products - corn and oil. The Russian invasion has somewhat weakened the development of the Ukrainian export -oriented agricultural sector, since the stability of the sphere was mainly dependent on a sufficiently developed port infrastructure. However, some positive trends have been preserved in the military 2022, according to the R&D Center for YouControl.

So, in 10 months of war, Ukraine earned the most, selling agrarian products - corn and sunflower oil. It is noted that these product groups occupy 1 and 2 places in exports from 12. 9% ($ 4. 7 billion) and 12. 1% (4, 4 billion dollars), respectively. In third place - iron ore and concentrates with 7. 5% ($ 2. 7 billion).

In addition to corn, sunflower oil, ore and concentrates, Ukraine exported: total export of Ukrainian goods abroad, 10 months 2022 decreased by one third, compared with 2021 indicators, and amounted to $ 36. 9 billion. (exports amounted to $ 5. 6 billion or 15. 4%). China, with which Ukraine actively traded in 2021, with the beginning of a full-scale war, dropped in 4th place in Ranking top exporters. Russia's invasion significantly reduced Ukraine's trade activity with Italy, India, Egypt.

They almost nullified the supply of our goods to the Russian Federation - from 5% to 1. 3%. Now the aggressor country in geographical export areas is 20th place, although a year ago it was fifth. At the same time, the share of supply of Ukrainian exports to countries such as: blocking the supply of food through the Ukrainian ports of the Black and Azov seas is not only damaged by Ukraine itself.

Svetlana Lytvyn, Analyst of the Ukrainian Agrarian Business Club (UKAB), notes that the lack of Ukrainian export supplies generates a significant shortage of food, which is noticeable in all countries of the world. After all, Ukraine provides 12% of world wheat trade, 16% - corn and 50% - sunflower oil. Angela Makhinova, a partner of international trade in Sayenko Kharenko, draws attention to the fact that in the study of the World Trade Organization "Crisis in Ukraine.

The consequences of war for global trade and development" experts suggest that due to closure of ports, reduction of acreage, uncertainty , fuel deficiency, plant protection products and labor, the volume of exports from Ukraine will be significantly reduced. The total exports from Ukraine and the Russian Federation to Lebanon are 83%of the total import of grain to this country, to Egypt - 73%, Tunisia - 53%, the UAE - 52%, so the countries of Africa and Asia will be affected primarily.
