" One of the mentioned positions was in Kalinini, and Ukrainian counterattack destroyed it, apparently, after they made their grades. In part, the problem of the Russians is that they expected that the offensive along the Russian-Ukrainian border to the north of Kharkov would distract Ukrainian units from the East of Ukraine and weaken the defense around cities such as Yar.

But the Armed Forces received American ammunition, strengthened the defense in the north and stopped the Russian offensive, not at the same time weakening the defense in the East. The lack of armored vehicles and the slow collapse of the system of basic training of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation forces poorly trained troops to attack Ukrainian positions on foot. If this begins in the near future, the offensive operation can take several months and will potentially cost thousands of casualties.
