Russia promises to pay North Korean soldiers for

North Korea comes into war with Ukraine. How to respond to the DPRK engineering troops in the Donbass

Russia promises to pay North Korean soldiers for "work" up to $ 800 a month - huge money for the starving DPRK. The participation of regular troops of the third country in hostilities automatically turns it into the side of the conflict. Focus found out what to expect from the "volunteers" Kim Jong -in and whether they would support them other countries. North Korea is about to send engineering troops to temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk region in July 2024.

Regular DPRK troops will help the invaders to "restore" the destroyed infrastructure, and the Kremlin will pay each soldier up to $ 800 for services, the interlocutors of the South Korean TV Chosun were calculated. The North Korean Army, as they say in South Korea's intelligence, has 10 engineering brigades. To Ukraine they want to send up to half of the specified number.

Pyongyang still overturned the soldiers of the existing service from the "engineering corps" to different countries, including the Middle East. Most often, they are masked under the employees of construction companies, but are controlled by the DPRK military command, the channel sources indicate.

Obviously, the decision to send troops to Ukraine is a result of a signed strategic partnership agreement following the meeting of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and DPRK leader Kim Jong -in 19 June. Putin assured that the two countries would protect each other in the event of a war. The agreement is only "peaceful and defensive", the head of North Korea assured.

It is noteworthy that the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov knows nothing about plans to send the engineering crews of the North Korea army to Donetsk and Lugansk. The American Institute for War Study (ISW) notes Russia's desire to form an alternative world order. Moscow is trying to create a coalition of friendly states in Asia on the basis of warm ties of the USSR with the DPRK and Vietnam.

ISW analysts did not see the intentions of North Korean servicemen to participate in hostilities in Ukraine, but engineering support will release the soldiers of the Armed Forces for combat operations at the front. Military infrastructure will also strengthen, including the arrangement of defense structures in the occupied territory of Ukraine. Kiev hopes that soldiers from the DPRK will abstain from participation in hostilities.

People's Deputy Yegor Chernev said that in Russia there is enough live force: the crews are formed by 80-90% and continue to be replenished. Probably, in the ranks of the engineering troops of the Russian Army there are great losses. Putin was forced to ask a colleague from the DPRK to send help, notes in a conversation with focus coordinator of the group "Information Resistance", military expert Alexander Kovalenko.

Most likely, the Koreans will place far from the line of fighting in the rear zone. Stories of departure up to five brigades to Donetsk region are an example of exaggeration, says the expert. "We will see a maximum of one or two brigades, but they will take a rotation in six months. The precedent is indicative, especially for the event: regular third country troops may appear in Ukraine, not mercenaries," Kovalenko notes.

North Korea, ignoring the rules of international law, quickly realizes the request of the Russian Federation for the departure of the military, unlike France with its numerous promises to send legionnaires to Ukraine. Also, Pyongyang operated with artillery ammunition and Hwasson-11ga ballistic missiles, known under the western KN-23. The military expert of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces Petro Chernik sees the departure of North Korean troops to Ukraine good and bad news.

The Armed Forces "expelled" units of military engineers of the army of the Russian Federation, but if the civilized world does not find an adequate answer, Pyongyang will send a combat brigade after. "What will change? According to the expert, it is not necessary to seriously consider the promises of Europe to help Kiev troops.

Putin has seriously raised a degree in nuclear blackmail, and at the current stage of the Great War, the Western combat brigades will come to us only if the Russian rocket will fly to their capital. "There will be no otherwise. If the rocket does not fly into Paris, they will not introduce the troops. And then they first look for evidence. If the projectile is released from Libya, in the Elysees fields they will declare not about the Russian, but the Libyan missile," the analyst notes.

Iran, the next military ally of Russia, will follow the example of North Korea. Units of the Corps of the Watchtown of the Islamic Revolution (CVI) are known for "delicate operations" abroad: from the elimination of diplomats to rocket strikes on the objects of Israel and the United States in the Middle East. According to Chernik, Iran is the "axis of evil" together with Russia and the DPRK.

If, during a mission in Afghanistan and Iraq, the United States opened offices of several Union countries, why Russia cannot do similarly, the analyst raises questions. "The Quir troops may appear in Ukraine as supporting the actions of North Korea. The probability is such," - comments the specialist. Oleksandr Kovalenko hopes for Tehran's caution, despite the fact that Iran was the first to supply Russia's army with ammunition and Kamikadze Dronza Shahd.
