Ukrainian losses in war: In Le Monde estimated how real is the Zelensky figure

According to journalist Emmanuel Grinshpan, his source in intelligence reported about 60,000 dead Ukrainian military, 30,000 of whom were missing. The number of dead servicemen of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, voiced by President Vladimir Zelensky, is true, but it is only about confirmed data. This was said by LE Monde newspaper Emmanuel Grinshpan.

"According to my sources, the figure of 31,000 deaths, indicated by President Vladimir Zelensky, is accurate, but it reflects only officially documented cases of death," the journalist explained. Grinshpan noted that his source, related to intelligence, speaks of about 60,000 dead Ukrainian military.

"An additional 30,000 are missing (according to him, 90% of those killed, 10% are prisoners in Russia), as well as thousands of unrecognized dead lying in the morgues due to the lack of DNA tests," he explained. According to the journalist, the collection of data on Ukrainian losses was also engaged in the group, probably related to the exploration of the Russian Federation. He noted that these people relied on both reliable and unreliable sources, so they voiced the figure "does not matter".

We will remind, on February 25 President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a press conference as part of the Forum "Ukraine. Year 2024" stated that during the full -scale war, 31 thousand Ukrainian military were killed. Later, on February 26, the Armed Forces fighter and volunteer Miroslav Guy specified that the number of losses, published by Vladimir Zelensky, did not take into account the fighters who died in the battlefield, but whose bodies were not evacuated.
