Alexei Konechny won in seven parties 11 rivals, and four parties ended with a draw. Before the last round, there were races with a participant from Scotland, but here Oleksiyko won. And after the last round it became clear that he was the winner. Alexei Konechny from Truskavets of the Lviv region was the winner at the World Chess Championship, beat 11 opponents and a "star" of chess future Russia, which performed in neutral status.

The father of the champion Igor Konechnya told this in an interview with Ukrainian Truth. Such a triumphant victory at the World Chess Cup (Rapid) U10 in Albania, a young Ukrainian chess player was preparing both technically and psychologically. Although Alexei, together with her dad, was refused the championship because of the participation of an athlete of a hostile country, the family team decided to win, and it was, in their view, undoubtedly.

Igor Father Konechny remembers how the Russians will be said, there will be a new "star" of Russian chess in this age category Roman Shogdzhiev from Kalmykia. They, together with Oleksiyko, decided that let the "neutral" be the second, but they will become the first. "In this tournament, we had to play with a hostile country, and there is a boy who predicts the world championship and who is called the biggest talent of modernity in chess among the young.

I knew that sooner or later we would meet him," - emphasizes the father of the Ukrainian champion. Alexei Konechny won in seven parties 11 rivals, and four parties ended with a draw. Before the last round, there were races with a participant from Scotland, but here Oleksiyko won. And after the last round it became clear that the young chess player from Ukraine was the winner. "At the Rapid World Championship Alexei performed perfectly.

There was a 7th rating on the starting list and took 1st place without defeats-it is cool! Rivals are serious, different style of the game. There were champions of their countries," the boy's coach Andrew said Zugulak. He noted that of course the preparation was quite serious: new debuts, analysis of the game of rivals, finding their weaknesses. But the result is unconditional. According to the coach, Alexei will now rest, and then return to the tournaments again.

At the end of May, he can play at the Krakow Championship, and in late June he will go to the European Team Championship in Greece. The boy began professionally chess recently - in 2021. The talent was noticed by his father, although he had nothing to do with chess - he previously worked as a ballet artist of the Lviv Opera. "I saw that general group classes are not enough for Alexei. He needed serious preparation.

They started working in 2021 with one coach, reached the level of the second category. Then they moved to another coach. Alexey became the champion of Ukraine, "the father recalls. Andriy Zazuliak, a coach from Kremenchuk, began to deal with Alexei in September 2022 online. It is Zugulak who takes care of Alexei's technical part of training: he works with a boyfriend Meltelshpili, endshpili, various techniques, play Italian, Spanish parties, Ferze Gambite, even added to Torre.

The father is responsible for the psychological training of the son. "Alexei already has almost 2. 5 thousand points in online shields. Sometimes he plays chess 4-5 hours a day, and in" school "days he tries to allocate at least an hour or two to play a few parties,"-says father. Igor finally shares the experience that the chess players themselves determined how successful the game was.

Now all this does a computer, at the same time it is possible to analyze with a gadget of the game, to calculate the accuracy of moves, etc. The boy's father emphasizes that chess is a serious and exhausting sport. Adult tournaments are a hundred thousand dollars in prize funds. However, recently children's tournaments have become complicated - the "ceiling" of abilities has increased. "If someone thinks that children play poorly, then believe me, they often play stronger than adults.

Children have fresh knowledge and nothing extra in their heads except the game. They have a very high level," Igor says. And he shares his plans for the future boy, but adds that all trips to the championship are at their own expense. The only trip paid by the Lviv Regional Chess Federation is the champion's father was Slovenia. So, according to Igor, the state still has to be more interested in its young talents. "There are no chess tournaments at all in Truskavets.

We go to Lviv to the Open tournaments where everyone is playing. I thank the Lviv Chess Academy, which organizes a huge number of tournaments in the city. But when you are two -time champion of Ukraine and the world champion, you want someone It is attention, " - concludes Alexei Finish's father. We will remind, Focus wrote that in Paris will not be glad for athletes from Russia and Belarus at the Olympic Games, which will take place in the French capital this summer.
