Parents who do not go with children from shelling can be waiting for prison-the Ministry of Internal Affairs

Priority is always the safety of children, not the punishment of parents, Kateryna Pavlichenko emphasized. But if a minor is left in danger, then law enforcement agencies can be criminally responsible for adults against parents who refuse to leave the frontlines with children, but in some cases, adults may expect criminal liability. The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Kateryna Pavlichenko told about it Ukrinform.

According to her, if parents refuse evacuation from the territories under the fire of the enemy, then police officers are forced to take certain legal measures. "It should be emphasized that the priority is the safety of children, not the punishment of parents," the Deputy Minister said, adding that sometimes parents make materials for their failure to fulfill their responsibilities.

When it comes to leaving the child in danger, in such cases, these adults are already criminal, which may be punished by imprisonment for up to two years. "We carry out large-scale information and outreach work on this, but there are cases where adults, also parents with children, really refuse evacuation," the official said. Kateryna Pavlichenko stressed that the issue of evacuation, including children from the frontline regions, is a very acute humanitarian challenge that Ukraine faced.

After all, police officers, at risk of their own lives, evacuate the civilians, especially children and the elderly when active fighting is underway. At the same time, the police of the Donetsk region informs that the evacuation of children is exclusively with the consent of parents or other legal representatives and is carried out from 28 settlements of the region - Lymansk, Illinovsk, Myrnograd, Grodiv, Novogrodivska, Selidovskaya and Kurakhiv territorial communities.

The departure of children, accompanied by at least one of the parents or relative or representative of the guardianship authorities, occurs exclusively on armored transport, because in the territory of these communities the occupiers are actively using FPV. Passengers have special protection - helmets and bulletproof vests. There have already been 372 families with 481 children. In total, 2462 families with 3903 children are subject to evacuation, informed by the police.
