UAV attacks led to Russia's reduction of diesel exports by 25% - Bloomberg

Journalists write that the Russian Federation can begin to redirect raw oil, which is not capable of processing its factories for export. Strokes by Ukrainian drones led to a decrease in exports of diesel fuel from Russia by 25%. This is discussed in Bloomberg. In particular, the data of the KPLER analytical company indicate that within 10 days to April 13, exports of the Russian diesel amounted to 0. 74 million barrels per day, ie 25% less than the indicator during this period in 2019-2023.

In turn, traders closely monitor the situation with the fuel streams of the Russian Federation. Given that recently in the country there was a fall in oil processing to a minimum mark for 11 months, it is not excluded that the country will be forced to redirect raw oil, which its plants cannot be processed, into the export market, the authors of the material emphasize.

At the same time, it is known that despite the simultaneous increase in oil flows, there are practical restrictions for a much greater increase in the volume of these deliveries. In addition, Bloomberg notes that on April 2, the last attack with UAVs on the Russian oil refinery took place, but the minimization of the impact of the incident on export flows took time. Recently, the media wrote that Russia was rapidly recovering some of the key refineries, which were struck by drones.

In particular, the capacities of the enterprises that were idle have decreased to about 10% of almost 14% at the end of March. On April 3, it became known that Russian main air carriers began to save fuel as a result of attacks by Ukrainian UAVs in the oil refineries of the Russian Federation. In the Russian market there is a reduction in the volumes of petroleum products and at the same time they rise.
