Journalists published documents confirming the receipt of the Russian passport by Boguslaev in 2000. Since then, he has made his career not only in business but also in politics, having access to the State Security Service. The head of the Motor Sich corporation Vyacheslav Boguslaev has been Russian citizenship since 2000, reports Radio Liberty Project. The journalists found themselves documents that prove this, in particular, an excerpt from the Rospasport AU system.

According to the extract, Boguslaev appealed to the Passport-Vise Department of Internal Affairs in Moscow with a statement on receiving a Russian passport on October 15, 2000, he wanted to exchange a Soviet passport since 1979. In three days the document was issued to him. Motor Sich manager also received an individual tax number of the Russian taxpayer, the number tied to the passport of the Russian citizen. The journalists learned this by finding information on the Russian Tax Service website.

Journalists checked the passport number in the Register of the Main Department for the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The document is considered valid in the register. The publication reminds that, as a Russian citizen, Boguslaev not only headed the Motor Sich corporation, but also built a political career. He was a trusted person of Presidential candidate Viktor Yanukovych, since 2006 he was elected four times by the People's Deputy: first from the Party of Regions, then as a self -nominated.

In the Parliament, Boguslaev was part of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense, had access to state secrets. In the press service of JSC "Motor Sich" stated that they were not aware of the Russian citizenship of their boss. We will remind, the media reported the detention of Vyacheslav Boguslaev on the evening of October 22.

The next day, the SBU confirmed this, noting that President Motor Sich was suspected of supplying Russia's aviation engines for shock helicopters even after the early February invasion of the Russian army into Ukraine. In addition, they detained the Head of the Department of Foreign Economic Activity of the JSC. Both detainees are suspected of collaborative activity and support of the aggressor country.
