Javelin will become even more dangerous: the US Army test new anti -tank sights LW Clu

The publication states that the implementation of the LW CLU Sighting System is a step forward in developing Javelin opportunities, as new optics provide a greater firing range, a higher image clarity and an innovative autofocus function. Such characteristics will allow fighters to identify, identify and strike targets at much greater distances with an unattainable level of detail.

Therefore, the new optics will expand the capabilities of the PTRC in terms of the lesion. The first mode offers a 4-fold-wide daily type, which is used mainly to scan the terrain for light during night operations. The second is a night species with a 4-fold increase, which shows the traveler the thermal image of the terrain, which will allow to find hidden troops and vehicles. This is the main mode for the detection of infrared radiation.

The third species is a thermal imaging image with a 9-fold magnification, similar to the automatic zuma of most modern cameras. The position of the hands and governing bodies of the new sight was processed for convenience, which allows them to be more naturally kept during long -term use. In this case, the lightness and compactness of LW Clu also makes it more mobile and maneuverable in the war zone.

Senior Sergeant Tom Magsino, who participated in the tests, noted that the new sight is quite easy to use and effective.
