The responsibility was taken by the Hacker Group Noname related to the Russian Federation. Reuters writes about it. The hackers were reported to the DDOS-attack website.

According to Spain Ministry of Defense, Santa Barbara Systems deals with heavy military equipment for the army, including tanks and artillery. In addition, the company is repairing Leopard tanks, which Spain has reconfigured for sending to Ukraine.

The General Dynamics representative in Madrid also reported that the National Institute for Spanish Cybersecurity warned the company about a possible attack. Earlier, NATO also stated that the Russian Federation strengthens the campaign of hybrid attacks on the company and the infrastructure of the Alliance, but Moscow rejected these statements, calling them "misinformation".
