Under the punch of sanctions: the largest airline of the Russian Federation has reduced its activity

Currently, Azur Air uses only 14 aircraft out of 22, as the air carrier flies only on US aircraft - Boeing 757 and Boeing 767, their use is complicated through sanctions. One of the leading airlines of Russia Azur Air, which specializes in the holding of charter flights, is currently operating only part of its air park. This is due to the fact that due to the imposition of sanctions on the country, the company cannot use 8 out of 22 aircraft available in its possession.

The use of Boeing airliners is complicated by a ban on the supply of spare parts and maintenance. About it reports avianews. com. Currently, Azur Air uses only 14 of 22 aircraft available, as the deputy director general of the company Andrei Mukanin has announced.

This situation is due to the fact that the air carrier flights exclusively on US aircraft such as Boeing 757 and Boeing 767, and because of the sanctions imposed, they face difficulty in operation of these aircraft, since sanctions prohibit official service and supply of original spare parts for them. Of the 14 aircraft in operation, 4 belong to Azur Air and 10 are leasing with Russian companies.

However, it is important to note that 8 of 22 non -used aircraft are owned by foreign companies, which limits the capabilities of the Russian air carrier to use them to perform international flights. The airline plans to buy these planes, but the maintenance problems will remain. Azur Air is now being repaired at Vnoukova Airport, and the engines have been renovated for Iran.

The main partner of Azur Air is the Anex Tour tour operator, which has previously cooperated in Ukraine with Azur Air Ukraine. In connection with the beginning of armed conflicts in Ukraine, the Ukrainian air carrier temporarily stopped its flights. However, in the spring of this year, the company returned to the airspace under the new name Skyline Express. Skyline Express is currently actively running flights to Europe, providing passenger transportation to resorts.
