New rocket of the Russian Federation: What is the dangerous S8000 "Banderol" for Ukraine

To spread: GUR reported the emergence of a new Russian rocket S8000 "Banderol", which is launched from drones. Focus found out what it is dangerous, what characteristics and whether it is able to knock it down. On Monday, May 12, GUR reported that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation began to use the winged rocket S8000 "Bandrol" for blows in Ukraine. The main carrier of the rocket is the unmanned aircraft "Orion".

At the same time, Russia is actively working on the adaptation of "Banderol" to launch Mi-28n combat helicopters. Compared to Russian rockets, such as X-101, 3M-14 and 9m727, the Banderol is distinguished by the ability to perform turns with a smaller radius, while maintaining a characteristic flight trajectory of the winged rocket.

According to the military expert Pavel Zrozhny, the Bandrolle rocket launches from drones or aircraft, because its design does not allow you to accelerate on its own to cruising speed. The peculiarity of this rocket is its form. "This form is interesting - it is atypical for rockets. The rockets are usually such a sigarose form. And this is such a loose. It reduces the air resistance and makes it less noticeable to radars.

The rocket engine is commercial, accessible for aircraft modeling, which can be bought just on the Internet. It costs about $ 17,000. " The expert says focus. The combat part of the rocket is 150 kg, which is less than that of Russian analogues, which can carry 400-500 kg of the explosive part.  The rocket range is up to 500 km, while the caliber can fly more than 1000 km. Theoretically, when the weight of the battle part is reduced to 50 kg, the rocket can overcome more than 500 km.

The technical characteristics of the winged rocket "Bandrol": Russian MIC uses the following foreign components to create this missile: the cost of the rocket is estimated at $ 100-500 thousand. "It is inexpensive, in other words. For comparison, the Ukrainian analogues are more expensive.

And our digital development minister has commented on this topic and said that the cost of the Malrytsya rocket or its Ukrainian counterparts comes one million dollars and they are working to reduce this value," the People's Type. According to the aviation expert, deputy director of the company for the production of the means of the ID Anatoly Khrapchynsky, the Russian MIC developed "Bandrol" to reduce the cost of production in the conditions of limited resources.

Russia uses missiles X-101, X-555 and X-22 from strategic aviation, but its resources are limited. "To launch missiles X-101, X-555 to lift a strategic plane into the sky it is very expensive. Therefore, the Russian MIC began to actively modernize X-59, X-69 and produce cheaper options," says Khrapchinsky focus. According to experts, the air forces of the Russian Federation are limited to use this rocket.

Khrapchinsky claims that Russia is still testing the rocket using the border space of Odesa region. The Narozhny states only for isolated cases of rocket use in Ukraine. The aviation expert notes that "Bandrol" has a speed of 500 km/h, which complicates its interception by classical mobile groups. However, it can be intercepted by anti -aircraft missiles. Pavel Narozhny assures that the question of the balance of the cost of killing the rocket and the value of the Russian rocket itself.

According to the expert, it is unprofitable to knock down such rockets as Patriot. In his opinion, it is better to use F-16, Stinger or British Gravehawk SPA. The expert summed up that when the Russian MIC starts mass production of these missiles, they will be able to pose a significant threat to the Ukrainian sky. Recall that unknown drones have struck the strategic object of the Russian Federation - space electronic reconnaissance station "Zvezda".
