"Important Signal for Putin": Poland considers the knocking of Russian drones a common success of NATO

To extend: to kill drones over the territory of NATO member country is an outstanding event, because it happened for the first time in the history of the Alliance. This was stated in the press service of President of Poland Karol Navrotsky.    The spokesman of Navrotsky Rafal Leshkevich even called it an important signal for the head of the Kremlin Putin, RMF FM reports. According to Leshkevich, the events on September 10 proved his readiness to defend the Eastern Flang of NATO.

Rafal Leshkevich also emphasized that air protection systems had worked - although he acknowledged that such an unobstructed invasion of Russian drones into Poland's airspace "causes concern". According to Poland's defense agency, France and the United Kingdom intend to transfer Rafale and Eurofighter fighters to the country.

And in an interview, the Polish Foreign Minister Radoslav Sikorsky expressed his hope that NATO's response to a violation of the Polish airspace would keep Russia from further escalation. Sikorsky also stated that "this time Poland demands not only to strengthen these opportunities [to fight drones], but also to fulfill what the President of the United States said. " The Polish minister meant to impose new sanctions against Russia and to increase Ukraine's support.

We will remind, on September 10, Poland for the first time knocked Russian "Shahda" in its airspace. A number of Polish airports have stopped operating, including the country's most important airport - Chopin Airport in Warsaw. It was also known that during the invasion of Poland's airspace, the Russian Federation attacked the upgraded UAV "Herbera". The drones that fell in Poland had an additional tank in the nasal. This is obviously done intentionally to increase the flight range.
