AIM-120 AMRAAM is the air-air-air rocket that is in service with NATO. Switch Yuri Ignat noted that thanks to her defense forces will be able to strike Russian aviation and protect the sky over Ukraine. The US Defense Ministry has ordered the AIM-120 AMraam missiles for Ukraine, but other modifications. They are able to overcome the distance of 160-180 kilometers and will be able to get the aircraft of the Russian Federation without going into the area of lesions of enemy air defense.

On September 2, a spokesman for the Armed Forces Yuri Ignat told this on the air of the telecast on September 2. The military explained that Amraam is the Air-Air Aviation missiles, which are one of the most common in NATO aviation. Ammunition is a variety of modifications, different in particular for lesions. "These missiles are constantly provided to us for NASAMS SAM complexes, which also uses the AIM-120 missile.

From the first days when the attack of our critical infrastructure (last fall) has begun, these missiles are used with NASAMS," the Armed Forces said. Ignati informed that Amraam could overcome a larger distance if they are launched from the air platform. From the ground installation, the rocket lesions are not so high. According to the Air Force spokesman, AIM-120 can destroy all types of air goals except ballistic.

"It is possible to save the state from drone and rocket terrorism thanks to these missiles that will be able to strike air targets," the military said. However, he noted that rockets are not cheap, so the drones would be more rational to eliminate less expensive means. "But there is no choice - it is necessary to destroy everything that is flying, to protect the country from the inside," - summed up Ignat.
