To spread: Ukrainian engineers conducted a reverse engineering of the Russian drone-Kamikadze "Molnia" and on its basis created their own development. By the design of "Lightning" almost completely repeats its Russian "donor"-the drone "Molnia-1". UAV is made according to the traditional aerodynamic scheme using wooden and metal elements. On August 5, it was reported in Militar.

Fuselage of a drone is two longitudinal pipes with a plywood center plate, which houses batteries, electronics control and attachment. The wing and tail plumage are also made on a wooden base with a polymer cladding. Lightning uses an electric motor and is equipped with both remote and autonomous control. On board there is a video camera and variable ammunition, depending on the tasks.

In particular, the drone can carry cumulative engineering charges for damage to armored vehicles or fragmental-fugitive ammunition to strike lives and unprotected objects. This device is a very budget decision. According to the "Last Capitalist" channel, 350 drones cost $ 300,000. Thus, the estimated price of one device was at $ 857. The maximum flight range of the Ukrainian version is 40 km and the height is up to 2000 meters. Underlying load - up to 8 kg.

For comparison, the Russian "Molnia" of the first generation had a range of 30-35 km and carried a combat part weighing up to 7 kg. According to experts, the drone is intended for strikes on terrestrial and, potentially surface purposes. It can be used against both fixed and moving objects. We will remind, the soldiers of the Armed Forces recently showed how they destroy Russian invaders with the help of unusual terrestrial work.
