A Ukrainian without feet overcame for half a kilometer not to live in Russian occupation (video)

Currently, the displaced person from Luhansk lives in Kiev. The native tsarivka left the man on a wheelchair. Viktor Laptev, a resident of the village of Tsarivka, who in a temporarily occupied Luhansk region, did not want to live under the occupation and moved to the controlled Ukraine. It was not easy for the man, because he has no legs. His heroic and dangerous act was told on ICTV. Viktor Laptev dared to actually crawl with Russia, not to live in occupation.

A man without legs in the half way to the Ukrainian checkpoint was met by volunteers. The village of Tsarivka of the Radinsky district of Luhansk region of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was captured in the first days of a full -scale war. On February 26, 2022, Victor went out to the porch and saw that the houses of the loyalty to the occupiers were marked with white ribbons. There was no such mark near his house. Soon he began to go with searches. The reason was not explained.

Victor and his wife initially hoped for liberation. When this did not happen, they decided to leave everything and run away. They went through the cover. Carriers were sent to the border of the spouse. Next, it was necessary to go alone. The wheelchair Victor gave his wife for things. She wanted to return to her husband, but she was not released - it was dangerous. Therefore, Victor decided to overcome the necessary distance to freedom on his own.

He moved on his hands and on the device he used at home. "I realized when I was half a kilometer that I was hard," the man recalls. He overcame the last meters to Ukraine -controlled territory of Sumy region with the help of Vitaliy volunteer. He noted that the couple was lucky: to decide to flee from the invaders in January, volunteers would not be because of the danger of shelling. Victor did not report that he was going to leave Tsarivka, otherwise volunteers have met them earlier.

Volunteers went to risk because they realized how many people lose their chance of salvation from occupation without their support. Victor and his wife also took this chance. After Sumy region, the couple went to Kiev, where their children live. Now the couple rent a room in the hotel room at its own expense. Victor, when he gets up, wants to do volunteering. "Ukraine for free people. There may be different opinions here, but you will start to feel when it is not. I lived there. And it cannot be.

I will always have a flag," Victor said who dreams of returning to native home in Tsarivka.
