Azerbaijan is arranged by Israeli Sky DEW airstate

Israeli Sky Dew A balloon with a complex of observation facilities is capable of tracking ballistic missiles and other air purposes. Height gives him an advantage over land radars. Azerbaijan has concluded a Sky Dew Air Keep Aircraft. Azeerbaijani site Aze. media reports. The basic mission of Sky Dew is to identify winged missiles, drones and other air threats at low altitudes, and early warning.

To do this, the balloon is equipped with AESA radar (active electronic scanning matrix), capable of showing targets at a long distance. The balloon can monitor continuous observation for several days and is able to accompany up to 500 targets with a range of detection of more than 250 km. It is also capable of avoiding obstacles from the Earth, which makes the balloon especially useful for identifying threats flying at low altitudes.

The upper boundary of the observation of the balloon far exceeds the possibility of ground radars, and Sky Dew has a much greater visual surveillance distance. According to Army Recognition, Sky Dew aerial photographic system has been developed jointly by the Ministry of Defense of Israel, the Defense Research and Development Department and the US Agency (MDA).

The observation balloon is made by the US company TCOM and equipped with radar systems developed by the Elta company ISRAEL AEROSPACE Industries (IAI). This extended air detection capabilities are intended to supplement the available protection systems. The deployment of Israeli Air Force Sky Dew to monitor the Lebanese border since March 2022, demonstrates the effectiveness of this system in strengthening air safety.

This acquisition is part of Azerbaijan's constant efforts to increase defense, including previous agreements with Israel to acquire Barak missile system and two satellites. Sky Dew performs several strategic tasks for Azerbaijan. First, the system enables early detection of air threats at a long distance, which is crucial for predicting and neutralizing the attacks before they reach the target.

This ability is especially important, given the increasing use of drones in modern conflicts, including armed drones or those used for observation. SKY DEW integration into Azerbaijan's air defense will expand the radar coating and improve the operational picture of the observation. According to the Military Militarian, the military was launched by one of the world's largest early Sky Dew a balloons in the fall of 2021. The balloon has become part of the HAAS (High Availability Aerostat System).

It identifies threats at more distances than other Israeli balloons. Haas is shared with other Israeli Iron Dome and David Snevo. Ukraine also does not leave the use of intelligence balloons. We would like to remind you that Ukrainian company Aerobovna manufactures balloons for Ukrainian military, which can be used to observe and strengthen the signals or control of drones.
