Faced with serious problems at borders with China and Pakistan, India decided to buy five C-400 complexes in the Russian Federation under a contract worth $ 5. 5 billion, signed in October 2018. Three of them are already put and fully ready for operation. At the same time, the first two SPRs arrived in India in December 2021 and April 2022, respectively.
According to the profile Indian edition of ANI, the first two SPRs C-400 were instructed to follow the Ladakh sector, covering the critically important Cycidor CHICKEN NECK in Western Bengal and the entire Northeast Region. "Despite these delays, Russia demonstrates a commitment to the execution of its contract, as evidenced by the supply of two systems in October 2023, although with a lag from the schedule for two years," - said Army Recognition.
