"Not all will be good": NATO was urged civilians to prepare for a "total war" with Russia

The head of the Alliance Military Committee noted that the Sweden authorities did the right thing when in early January called for their population to prepare for a possible war. The civilized population in civilized states should be prepared for a possible conflict with Russia. This was stated by Rob Bauer, the head of the NATO Military Committee, Sky News reports. He noted that the armed forces already know how to act, tuned in case of war.

According to him, civilian citizens should also be prepared for a war that can lead to significant changes in their daily lives. According to Admiral, the population of the Alliance needs to be realized that peace may not be constantly constant. That is why NATO forces are currently preparing for conflict with Russian invaders. He stressed that it is also an industrial base and people who should clearly understand that they play some importance.

"It all begins with the realization that not everything can be predicted and not everything will be well over the next 20 years," he said. Bauer called Sweden as an example. He noted that the country's authorities did the right thing when at the beginning of the present month called for their population to prepare for a possible war. NATO is preparing for probable confrontation with Russia. 90,000 servicemen will take part in the exercises.

Such an alliance event has been the largest in recent decades. Military exercises that last four months are intended to once again demonstrate the power of the block and its willingness to protect all the Alliance Member States from the attack. Sweden, who is a candidate for joining the bloc, will also participate. Maneuvers will be in close proximity to the borders of Russia, in particular in the north of Norway.
