Russia deliberately places military objects near civilian areas in Crimea: in ISW called the reason

Analysts believe that by accusing the United States of civilians, Russia is trying to keep Washington from providing further military assistance to Ukraine. Russia purposefully places its military sites near civilian areas in temporarily occupied Crimea. In this way, the Russians try to hold back the strikes of Ukraine. This is stated in the report of the Institute of War Study (ISW) for June 23.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that official Kiev launched five ATACMS missiles with cassette combat units in Sevastopol. The occupiers allegedly managed to intercept four rockets, but one rocket deviated from the flight trajectory and exploded. Russia has accused the US in the victims of civilian population. The staff, published on June 23, allegedly visible civilians on the beach in Sevastopol during and after rejection of the rocket from the trajectory of flight.

Russian sources claimed that cassette ammunition fell on civilians at the beach in Uchuyevka Park in northern Sevastopol. For his part, the so -called Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhayev stated that as a result of the blow, four people were killed and 151 were injured.

"The accusation of the Russian Ministry of Defense against the United States in the victims of civilians is an attempt to keep the United States from providing further assistance to Ukraine in the field of security," the ISW said. Analysts noted that Russian military bloggers criticized the Russian defense department and Russian occupation power in Crimea for "they could not prevent impact and sufficiently protect the civilian population of Russia.

" The so -called power was also criticized because it did not use aircraft sirens to prevent civilians. "The Russian authorities irresponsibly encouraged Russian tourism to the occupied Crimea during the war, while the Russian military continues to use the occupied peninsula as a rear district," the report reads. We will remind, on June 23 in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol near the military aerodrome Belbek there were explosions.
