Another UAH 300 billion is required for the needs of the Armed Forces: the Council announced another tax increase

According to the head of the budget committee Danylo Hetmantsev, the financing of the military needs of Ukraine is at the expense of internal sources, this cannot be used by Western partners. At least UAH 300 billion must be allocated to financing the needs of the Armed Forces by the end of this year. This involves increasing both the expenditure and the revenue of the budget.

This opinion was voiced by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Danilo Getmantsev. He noted that the financing of the Ukrainian army is at the expense of internal sources, these needs do not have the opportunity to borrow the funds of Western partners. In addition, Hetmantsev added that the Cabinet calculates the needs, but it is already known that they are "very large". "At least 300 billion by the end of the year.

How can you raise such money? Again we will wait for the Cabinet of Ministers. But yes, they cannot be provided by bypassing basic taxes. Therefore, the changes will be concerned ", - he said. At the same time, Danilo Getmantsev called the increase in taxes not a "good" step for the economy, and he stressed that the war is generally "very bad". "But are there any other options on the table? No, we definitely choose in the alternative of property or life - life," he said.
