This year should become a time of steps that will take our victory over Russian terror - President of Ukraine

Dear Gitanas, dear colleagues! Thank you all for your kind words about Ukraine and thank each of you who helps us. This night, Russian terrorists struck the next blow to Ukraine. It was a combined blow: rockets, Iranian shock drones, trajectories specifically calculated so as to maximize damage to our critical infrastructure. The strikes were struck in cities: from Kharkiv and Kiev to Odessa and Lviv, and one of the goals of Russian terrorists was near the Polish border.

During the day, our rescuers, energy, repair crews continue to work to eliminate the effects of the impact. Unfortunately, this has become a routine for our region - both such strikes and our appeals about the need to strengthen our air defense. Missiles fly daily, and every day we hear that Ukraine will transfer new air defense systems. Every day, Russian terrorists turn off the electricity of Kharkiv and other our cities, and every day we hear that there will be a new help soon.

Finally, reality should match the words. Finally, real losses of Russian terror should be caused. Dear colleagues! In the way Ukrainians expect decisions to support our protection, Putin sees not only the opportunity to continue this war for themselves. He sees more - it is a temptation for him to expand aggression and to prepare the potential for geographically wider blows.

In danger, all states are the neighbors of Russia and every people whose lives are in the area of ​​reach of Russian aviation and missiles. Each of you sees how Russian propagandists feed hatred to your states. In Russia, they have already come to the fact that even in their own criminal negligence, which led to a disaster with a breakthrough of the dam and flooding of a large territory, accused Kazakhstan and consider it a potential enemy.

The Russian managed hatred precedes Russian managed airplanes, rockets and Shahanedam. Each of the neighbors for Russia is a target, as is Ukraine. We need to multiply joint efforts to ensure our common security. First, each of Russia's neighbors must do everything possible both on their borders and in communication with their partners to block Putin's supply of critical components that can be used in military production.

From chips to machines, from raw materials to technology - cooperation with Russia should be toxic to all. Secondly, defending assistance to Ukraine now means defending our own safety for each country in our region. I thank all of you who are in contact with other partners who use all the means of diplomacy, media and political work to promote the armed support of our soldiers. Cooperation with the United States is fundamental.

We must be frank: the alliance is checked here - in defense against Russian terror. And so that the same Russian rockets are not over Vilnius, or Warsaw, or Chisinau, they should not be over Odessa and Kharkiv. Third: I thank everyone who gave and gives Ukraine weapons. It really helps us. Our defensive projects have also helped with you - we must create as much defense industries as possible that will work directly on our common security with you.

Production of shells, guns, equipment, drones - all that is necessary for protection - should grow significantly. We have created considerable potential for this in our country. But it needs finance. Frozen Russian assets should finally be aimed at protecting against Russian terror, in particular through support of life in Ukraine, support of our protection, restoration in Ukraine. Fourth: our unity. Please strengthen the unity in the European Union.

Moscow should feel that unity in Europe is greater than contradictions. Of course, every society may have doubts about decisions made in Brussels. But such doubts should not become Moscow's weapon. European treaties must be enforced by Europe. The "solidarity" paths that strengthen Europe should continue to work. We need to increase the integration of our systems, including transport. All the contradictions in Europe should be resolved in a democratic way and in negotiations of equal.

And the time we can use for rapprochement must be used without losing a single day, not that the month. In June, it will be correct to actually start negotiations on Ukraine's accession. June should also become important in the formula of peace. I invite you to participate in the first inaugural global peace summit in Switzerland. And peace requires not only your participation in the summit, but also your support in attracting world leaders.

Please use all your connections and impact to make the world most help to bring a fair peace closer. And finally, the fifth: NATO. The Alliance should not be afraid of its own existence, its own rules. Ukraine considers historically correct that the Baltic Sea region has finally gained a historic chance of reliable security after Finland and Sweden's accession to NATO. The Black Sea region also needs the same safety.

As a democratic nation that protects our common values ​​of the Alliance, Ukraine deserves to invite NATO. We are now grateful to every country for bilateral security agreements that support us for a while before NATO accession. Today we have signed the nine such agreement with Latvia. And I invite all the leaders of the trimmary to conclude such agreements with Ukraine. And we need to work on strategic tasks. Putin wants to destroy Ukraine and the freedom of all nations in our region.

And he sees no alternatives. We also do not need to look for alternatives to our security - Ukraine needs an invitation to NATO. This is really this year. Without ours, Ukrainian, the power of the whole of Europe will not be complete, and with us, gradually integrating, we will really be able to protect one another from Russian revenge. Dear friends! This year should be the time of all the necessary steps that will make our victory over Russian terror. It is possible.
