Aksyonov does not believe in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation: the number of armed formations has increased in Crimea - intelligence

The British Defense Ministry noted that the main army garrison of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation-the 22nd Army Corps, is currently mainly stationed outside the Crimea and has suffered heavy casualties. In Russia, the number of armed formations that constitute a reserve of a regular army of the Russian Federation has increased sharply, but they are not officially subordinate to the Ministry of Defense.

Such formations are created in the Crimea, since the chairman of the occupation administration Sergey Aksyonov is likely to doubt the ability of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to "protect" the island. This was reported on May 26 by the UK Ministry of Defense, citing intelligence data. The report states that the creation of armed formations in the Russian Federation has accelerated after invasion of Ukraine.

In this sense, Aksyonov played an important role in creating several local units, which often declare their belonging to Cossack traditions. Most of them have received the unofficial status of the reserve units of the Russian army. "Aksenov probably seeks to strengthen his patriotic authority, gaining fighters, but most likely he is also concerned about the ability of a regular army to protect the peninsula," the Defense Ministry noted.

Meanwhile, the 22nd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which includes units of coastal troops of the Black Sea Fleet, which is a major garrison in the Crimean Peninsula is currently mainly stationed outside the peninsula and has suffered large losses.

We will remind, the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Chernyak on May 22 stated that the appearance of armed formations in the occupied Crimea, the so -called PVC, says about the fear of Russians on the eve of the Counter -offensive of the Armed Forces.
