Weapons Against "Shahmed": Hungary created a mysterious Skyknight setting

To spread: the Hungarian company 4IG and the Edge Group Edge Group Holding have presented joint development - the Skyknight anti -aircraft system designed to counteract massive drone attacks. The new air defense complex can be a key element of multi-level defense in the context of modern conflict, especially against the background of widespread use of drones in the war of Russia against Ukraine. Hartpunkt portal writes about it.

The development was known against the backdrop of the visit of President of the UAE Muhammad Bin Zaid Al Nagayan in Hungary. As part of a meeting of 4IG and EDGE, they signed a cooperation agreement that covers the creation of unmanned systems, air defense facilities, as well as communications and management systems compatible with NATO standards. According to Defense Express observers, the Skyknight system is positioned as an anti-aircraft supplement to the Skynex anti-aircraft harvest complex.

Up to 60 small -sized anti -aircraft missiles designed to reflect UAV attacks can be placed on one starting unit. The design involves modular architecture and high density of fire - what the modern realities of struggle with shock drones and bargage ammunition require. Unlike standard missile systems, Skyknight can be used in situations where an instant response and a large number of interceptions at a limited cost of one volley are required.

Although accurate characteristics, such as action and types of guidance are not revealed, it is known that rockets will integrate into the Skynex module and be able to work together with other elements of the system, including 35mm RheinMetall installations.
