The Russian Federation produces more than 50 thousand fiber-optic FPV-pins, ISW

To spread: the Russian defense industry increases the scale of the output of fiber drones that are actively used in the battlefield in Ukraine. According to analysts, such drones are resistant to Ukrainian remedies of radio electronic struggle and give the Russian army significant advantages. According to the Report of the Institute of War (ISW), the production of FPV-iots using fiber-optic cables in Russia increased significantly in 2025.

The head of the Scientific and Production Center "Ushuynik" Alexei Chadayev stated that every month more than 50 thousand such drones are produced, and production volumes have already doubled compared to last year. According to him, the issue is organized immediately in three regions, with several factories in each.

In particular, thanks to the simple design and mass production, these drones allow Russian troops to destroy Ukrainian armored vehicles, communications systems, radio electronic fighting and supply routes. Moreover, the use of fiber -optic FPV also enhances the ability of the Russian forces to track the movement of Ukrainian military in complex areas, in particular in the Serebryansky Forestry.

In addition, Vadim Skibitsky, Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate of Military Intelligence of Ukraine, emphasized that in 2025 Russia plans to release about 2500 precision missiles, including winged, ballistic "Iskander" and aerobalist "dagger". As explained in ISW, in parallel, Moscow increases the issue of drones of different types: "Geranium", "Harpia" and FPV.

According to Skibitsky, the bulk of the large defense enterprises of the Russian Federation is located more than 750 km from the Ukrainian border, and new production sites are built even further - 1500-2000 km. In this way, Russia tries to protect the defense-industrial complex from Ukrainian long-range blows.

At the same time, it diversified production so that more than a hundred enterprises can be involved in the creation of one type of weapon, which significantly complicates the possibility of stopping the entire cycle with Ukrainian blows. Earlier, Focus wrote that the General Intelligence Directorate reported that in 2025 Russia plans to increase the production of weapons significantly.

57 tactical aviation aircraft, more than 250 T-90M tanks and more than a thousand units of other armored vehicles, as well as 365 artillery systems are envisaged. In addition, Moscow plans to produce about 2. 5 thousand long -range missiles, while in 2024 the monthly issue was estimated at 130-150 units. It was also reported that Russia uses new drones at the front, including BM-35, which was not previously known to Ukrainian intelligence.
