Rosatomi stated that one of the station units was disconnected "under the influence of automation due to problems on the turbogenerator". At the same time, they noted that the radiation background is normal. Due to the shutdown of electricity, the traffic of trams and trolleybuses in Krasnodar was suspended.

150 traffic lights did not work in the city. In addition, the Novorossiysk railway station remained without light. Recall that Rostov NPP is the largest enterprise of energy in southern Russia. It is located 13 kilometers from Volgodon. The station provides about 75% of electricity production in the Rostov region.
