The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced a man -made disaster at the Zaporozhye NPP on August 19

The authorities of the aggressor state accused Kyiv of preparing an artillery strike at the nuclear power plant in order to put responsibility for it on the Russian Federation. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation accused the Ukrainian side of preparing provocation with the use of artillery on the territory of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant in Energodar on August 19 in order to accuse the Russian forces.

The press service of the department wrote about this in her telegram channel on Thursday, August 18. According to the agency of the aggressor state, the Ukrainian authorities want to provoke a provocation during the visit of the UN Secretary General Anthony Guterresh to Ukraine. As a result, according to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Russia wants to accuse of "creation of a man -made disaster at this power plant".

The Russian authorities also stated that for the preparation of provocation by August 19, radiation surveillance posts will be deployed in the Zaporozhye area, as well as training units from actions in the conditions of radiation contamination of the territory.

According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine should complete the concentration in the Zaporizhzhya area by tomorrow and be ready to fix the accident at the NPP, as well as to demonstrate the elimination of its consequences. "The units of the 44th Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces on August 19 are planning the task of artillery strikes at the territory of Zaporizhzhya NPP from fire positions located in the city of Nikopol.

The wine for their consequences will be laid on Russian armed forces,"-the message reads. We will remind, earlier "Energoatom" warned of the threat of radiation leakage at the Zaporozhye NPP due to constant shelling by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. We also wrote that in the Zaporizhzhya Regional Military Administration, 400,000 people were warned about the evacuation in the event of an accident.
