Modern "wheelbarrows": As the Armed Forces fighters turned pickups into deadly combat vehicles (video)

To spread: Due to the ingenuity of the defenders, civilian cars have become platforms for powerful weapons. The pickups are installed Javelin, AGS-17 or MK-19 grenade launchers, "hail" and even rocket installations from KA-52 helicopters. Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to adapt to the conditions of modern war, actively using light maneuvering equipment.

Pickups, which were previously perceived as auxiliary transport, have now become a full -fledged combat platform capable of competing with armored vehicles. The military equip them with machine guns, mortars, anti -tank missile systems (PTRCs) and even reactive volley fire systems (RSSV), which makes these machines universal means of damage. This is stated in the material Armyinform. Modern war requires flexible decisions, so the Ukrainian soldiers have undertaken tuning their cars.

It is noted that the main advantage of pickups is high mobility. They are able to quickly change their position by struck and avoiding fire. In addition, compared to armored vehicles, such machines are cheaper in production and operation, and their repair takes less time. The Ukrainian military is actively upgrading pickups, installing them: this can be attributed to such systems as PTRC "Stugna-P", Javelin, Grandomators of the AGS-17 or MK-19.

But the installation of artillery systems is a separate direction. For example, the fighters of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade "Cold Yar" developed mobile RSSUs using trophy guides from BM-21 "Grad". Despite the fact that this decision initially caused condescending smiles, it turned out that such mobile fire systems have become more and more in demand in situations where infantry support was needed.

Also, Ukrainian fighters decided to go further in this direction and integrate the car even rocket installations from KA-52 helicopters with C-8 missiles. This decision makes it possible to fire at a distance of up to 4 km, while quickly changing the position if necessary. "These" wheelbarrows "of the XXI century - not just improvisation, but a thoughtful answer to the challenges of modern battle.

From mobile" hail "to hunters for drones - every pickup in the hands of Ukrainian military becomes a formidable weapon," - summed up the authors of the material. Earlier it was reported that Russian troops are increasingly actively using buggies of different types as for assault operations due to acute shortages on the front of armored vehicles. This technique has become "indispensable" transport on the battlefield in view of its maneuverability and patency in off -road conditions.
