Russia has almost 8 times increased production of winged rockets X-101-ft

According to Financial Times, in 2021, Russia made only 56 X-101 missiles, last year-420. One of these winged missiles, which the Kremlin releases from Tu-95 strategic bombers, hit Ohmatdit Children's Hospital in Kyiv on July 8. Russia now produces almost eight times more winged X-101 missiles than before the full-scale war in Ukraine. About it writes the British newspaper Financial Times.

According to journalists who talked with experts and Ukrainian officials, these missiles contain Western components. This indicates that Moscow has successfully evaded Western sanctions. In 2021, a year before Putin ordered a full-scale invasion, Russia produced only 56 X-101 missiles. Last year, Russia has already produced 420 such missiles, according to the report of the Royal Institute of Joint Services, the London Analytical Center for Defense and Security for the past month.

NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Litvinenko stated that "Russia is able to produce a large number of missiles, but the quality of many is very bad. " He noted, despite the fact that accuracy is important, it is not obligatory for the Russian military. Regardless of whether Moscow involves or not, the goal is always at least partially achieved: "Terror". X-101-Russian strategic winged rocket class "Air-Earth" using technologies for reducing radar visibility.

It was first used in combat in 2015 during Russian intervention in Syria. It is now widely used during the war in Ukraine. The carriers of rockets are the Tu-95 strategic bomber. We will remind, on May 8, 2024, the UK Ministry of Defense reported that Russia has modernized the winged X-101 missiles and installed an additional second warhead, which is designed to increase the radius of damage to the whole debris.
