Zelensky has appointed a new commander of the Armed Forces forces: what is known about him

The military has completed many combat missions for the arrangement of mine-explosive barriers of the first defense. Oleksandr Yakovets is appointed by the new commander of the Forces of Support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On March 4, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky's website published a decree. The Commander of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmitry Gereg was also released. The next decree was appointed a new leader.

Alexander Yakovets is a brigade general and Ukrainian military commander. He is a participant in the Russian-Ukrainian war. The military was distinguished during the anti -terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine and the Russian invasion of the territory of Ukraine in February 2022. Alexander Yakovets studied at the Higher Military Engineering Team School in Kamianets-Podilskyi.

In the period from 1993 to 2009 he worked as a commander of an engineering-sapper platoon, a company commander of a mechanized division. From 2009 to 2018 he was the commander of the 91st Separate Regiment of Operational Support (until 2014-91st Engineering Regiment). He performed a lot of combat missions for the arrangement of mine-explosive barriers of the first defense.

It was under the leadership of Yakovets that operations were conducted on the demining of the terrain and fortification equipment of the second defense border in the territory of Donetsk region. He managed the creation of managed units of barriers, these tasks had to be performed under constant shelling of the Russian forces. In the period from 2018 to 2020 he was the deputy chief of staff of the operational command "East".
