The occupiers increase the attacks near Siverskaya to distract from the Armed Forces from the South - Isw

Since August 11, Russian troops have increased land attacks in the Siverskaya area. This may testify to the efforts of the Russian Federation to distract Ukraine from the south, where Ukrainian troops conduct effective counterattack. About it writes the American Institute for War Research (ISW). Until now, the Russian troops were only conducted sporadic and limited ground attacks, largely relying on artillery shelling.

Video Day ISW writes that Russian forces can hope to shift the focus from the south to weaken the pressure on their own operations along the southern axis. It is added that Russian troops conducted limited ground attacks northwest of Slavyansk, east of Siversk, south and east of Bakhmut. The Russians also held a limited ground storm north of Kharkov.
