"Strengthening Military Cooperation": Iran may agree with the Russian Federation on the transfer of missiles - isw

According to experts, Russia seeks to buy Iranian ballistic missiles Fateh-110 and Zolfaghar, both of which have a radius of 300 kilometers or more. Iran will be able to reach an agreement with Russia to transfer missiles after the UN Security Council resolution No. 2231 has completed, which forbids Iran to conclude such agreements. About it reports the Institute of War Study (ISW).

According to experts, Sergei Shoigu, the Minister of Defense of Russia, made a visit to Tehran on September 19 in order to discuss the possibility of strengthening mutual defense and military cooperation between Russia and Iran.

During his visit to the headquarters of the Air and Small Forces of the Corps of the Islamic Revolution (KSI) commander of this department, brigade General Amir Ali Hadzhi made a tour for General Sergei Shoigu Iranian Arsenal of unmanned systems, missiles and anti-air defense.

During his visit, General Shoig also discussed with the Minister of Defense Iran, Brigade General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, on the expiration of restrictions on missile programs established by the UN Security Council resolution No. 2231. According to this resolution, Iran is limited in the supply of ballistic missiles to other countries. Ashtii previously stated that after the restrictions, Iran is ready to develop defensive and strategic relations with "all independent countries".
