The Russian Federation has created in Britain fake media to discredit Western companies in Ukraine - media

At once, two new portals that have recently been created began to actively disseminate various fake information about Western companies, journalists write. Some businesses have been charged with fraud and fundraising. Two news resources in the United Kingdom have begun to spread misinformation about the illegal activities of Western companies in Ukraine.

The US company Sarn, which was accused of allegedly "criminal" activities, declares purposeful discredit, and in the British Parliament drew attention to the probable involvement of the Russian Federation and ready to strengthen the legislation for the media to disclose information about media owners. About it reports the British edition of The Guardian. The media notes that two portals (Londoninsider. uk. uk and Talk-finance. co.

uk) were registered in the United Kingdom and began to actively place materials on "Western companies" in Ukraine. The US firm Sarn, which works in Ukrainian energy and military equipment sectors, stated that they have been disseminated by these portals. The company adds that these "news resources" have been accused of trading in weapons, judicial fraud and fundraising.

Deputy Director of Sarn Armen Agas told reporters that his company categorically rejects "unfounded and completely fake news", which, he said, "distributed" on these sites with a headline: "Weapons, money and Sarn: as a Czech-American group. ". "We believe that they have become a target because of our work on economic development in Ukraine during the war," the company added. The Guardian also notes that site materials were probably created by artificial intelligence.

In parallel, Sarn involved a linguist, who, having analyzed the material, noted that the text of the article was written in Russian. The situation with the distribution of Russian fakes about Ukraine was reacted in the British Parliament. The Liberal Liberal Member of the Liberal-Democrats, Lord Wallace, said that the Russian propaganda machine "uses London's reputation as a media and a financial center to harm Western companies operating in Ukraine.

" Lord Wallace believes that one of the decisions is to disclose the names of the media. The politician is convinced that the public should know all the information about the media owner who controls it. He believes that all the media, regardless of their size, should publish information about their owners in the national database. "This important step to protect the media from political or economic intervention was put into effect in the European Union in March [2024 - ed.

Earlier, Focus wrote that the Russians continue to actively distribute fakes to discredit Ukraine and its armed forces. In particular, on August 12, the SBU stated that the Russians were creating to convince the world of involvement of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces in the Military Crimes in the Kursk Region of the Russian Federation.
