The Russians complain that the Armed Forces is significantly outweigh the occupation army in the use of drones - isw

ISW analysts emphasized that as Ukrainian troops are getting better integrating new technologies into their strengths, the Russian army will feel the same to maintain technological and tactical parity on the battlefield. Some Russian military commentators continue to complain about the prevailing capabilities of Ukrainian drones and radio electronic struggle (EIT) on the battlefield. This is stated in the report of the American Institute of War Study (ISW) of June 4, 2024.

In particular, one of the Russian military bloggers has identified six points concerning the inequality between Russian and Ukrainian drones, arguing that, first of all, Ukrainian troops have a significant numerical advantage in drones with the possibility of monitoring an object from a bird's view.

"The blogger claims that Ukrainian assault groups have an advantage in 3-4: 1 in the use of drones over Russian assault units, while Ukrainian mechanized groups have an advantage of 6-10: 1 in the use of drones over similar Russian units," The report is said.

The same Russian blogger noted that Ukraine also has specialized and centralized units of drones in the existing Ukrainian land units, which allows Ukrainian troops to better integrate the possibilities of intelligence and percussion drones into basic tactical maneuvers. "Russian troops, on the contrary, do not have a centralized and organized system of units of drones and adequate means of HRs and radio electronic intelligence (Rer) to counteract Ukrainian drones [," ISW noted.

Analysts emphasized that as Ukrainian troops adapt and better integrate new technologies into their strength, Russian troops will probably feel pressure to do the same and maintain technological and tactical parity on the battlefield. "This race between the offensive and the defense and the increase in potential is a central element of the development of combat facilities in the modern war," the ISW emphasized.
