The Russian air defense thunderstorm: Ukrainian drones COBRA test and pass the military

These UAVs are inexpensive, easy to harvest and are intended to distract the hostile air defense. They can also be used as drones-Kamikadze. The Ukrainian Drone "Cobra" was created to distract the enemy means of air defense or to undermine them independently. The drones are currently testing in the Kirovograd region, as reported by the Access Point site. The Kobra drone team was created on a volunteer principle at the beginning of a full -scale invasion.

The UAV project was developed for half a year, initially created as a military transport, but then reworked for combat. In addition to the exhaustion of the air defense, the drone is able to divert the attention of hostile means of damage or to act as a shock drone. Currently, "cobra" is tested with different loads to determine how many explosives it can carry. The developers aimed to combine the capacity and a small price of drone.

Its body is collected from riveted steel by aviation technology - it reduces cost and accelerates production. It costs $ 2000 to produce such an unmanned aircraft: it will take several times more to buy an counterpart. Most of the components of the drone engineers create on their own, some need to be bought in Ukraine or abroad. The engine is also a team of engineers, as well as propellars and electronics. The UAV frame is made of aluminum pipes, as well as other metal structures.

The thickness of the steel cladding is only 0. 2 mm. The weight of the aircraft without a health load 16 kg, the tests are conducted with a total load of 32 kg. COBRA is able to develop a speed of 120-150 km/h. For safety, COBRA production is located in several different locations. Additional skilled workers are required to expand production. The developers also say that "Kobra" is very difficult to manage. Therefore, they are ready to cooperate with both manufacturers and pilots.

"Kobra" is not yet armed with the Defense Forces of Ukraine through trials. According to the developer Vitaliy Brizgalov, the processes are under the accelerated procedure, and all involved ministries contribute to this as much as possible. Drones are now being transferred to the military who have been trained and are able to work with them. Ukrainians need about two months of tests and arms to apply such drones at the Shahmed level, Iranian bargage ammunition, launched by the Russian army.
