Wanted to surround Chernihiv: the Armed Forces will be one tank more (photo)

The village of Shestovytsya in Chernihiv region was nicknamed "friend Chernobayivka" because of a large number of Russian equipment that could not reach the opposite shore of the Desna. In Chernihiv region, a Russian tank was drawn from the river Desna in the village of Shestovytsya, which will now use the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported on Saturday, July 15 by the Press Center of the State Service of Special Transport.

The operation was carried out by specialists of diving and rescue units of the State Special Transport Service in cooperation with the military operational command "North". It is reported that the tank was flooded during an unsuccessful attempt to cross the Desna River near the village of Shestovytsya in Chernihiv region. The tank has almost been damaged and after recovery will be included in the Armed Forces.

It is reported that during the battles near Chernihiv, Russian troops have repeatedly tried to transfer their units across the Desna River in the Shestovitsa area, but in vain. The locals jokingly call their village "the second Chernobayivka", sending to the successful attacks of the Ukrainian military on a local airfield in the village of Chernobayivka, located near Kherson. Even the very mention of Chernobayivka caused panic at an enemy who did not dare to attack in this direction.

We will remind, on June 14 the media reported that Ukraine can receive from the United States the promised Abrams tanks earlier than in September this year, as expected earlier. On July 14, it was reported that the BMP M2A2 Bradley of American production could be damaged by a shot from the Russian T-72 tank.
