The secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov gave a press conference in Lviv. The NSDC Secretary stated that no country in the world should talk to a terrorist country who kills children. He also expressed a misunderstanding of what the Russian Federation is doing in the UN Security Council. With regard to the staging "elections" in the occupied territories of Ukraine, Danilov called these measures "Fars". Danilov stated that in the modern world, many issues rest on the economic plane, but there are things that cannot be put above fundamental values.

The NSDC Secretary also noted that when the election issue is on the agenda, the turbulent political period begins, during which many politicians make certain decisions based on political expediency. "We need to clamp our teeth and go through this period," the official said.

When asked by the journalist about the dismissal of the expedition commander of the Armed Forces by the decision of the Military Medical Commission (VLK), the official replied that "in fact from the first day" he knew about Valery Zaluzhny's health.
