" Only 16% of the respondents evaluate the preparation as sufficient. Hrushetsky added: "People do not have sufficient information and their answers are more likely to show the degree of trust in the authorities and the result of the information war. " The study revealed a variety of views on the causes of insufficient readiness. Most often, respondents accused political power (46%), noted insufficient preparation of the population (35%) and large resources of Russia (21%).

"Discussions about the preparation for the invasion should be constructive and calm," Hrushetsky emphasized. Regional analysis showed that the accusations against political power are widespread throughout Ukraine. The share of such answers is increasing from west to east of the country. "Ukrainians keep their will to fight," the sociologist said. Adult citizens of Ukraine aged 18 years of age took part in the sociological study.

All respondents lived in the territory of Ukraine under the control of the government at the time of the survey. The sampling did not include residents of temporarily occupied territories. Some of the respondents belong to internally displaced persons who left the occupied regions. Sociologists also did not interview citizens who left abroad after February 24, 2022. The research methodology has only swept the population in Ukraine. The statistical error of the study does not exceed 4.
