Russian legislation allows presidential candidates to appoint up to 600

Putin has appointed military -trusted persons "by trusted persons" during elections: what will they help

Russian legislation allows presidential candidates to appoint up to 600 "proxy". They will be engaged in agitation and sometimes be able to act on behalf of Putin, said analysts. The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin for the first time appointed Russian troops "trusted persons" in his presidential election campaign. This was reported by analysts of the Institute of War Study in the daily report on December 12.

On December 12, the Russian newspaper reported that Vladimir Putin appointed a Russian ultranationalist correspondent of "Komsomolskaya Pravda" and a member of the Human Rights Council Alexander Kotz "by a trustee". In addition, the possibility of appointing the "proxy" of bloggers Alexander Sladkov and the founder of the Telegram-channel Wargonzo Semen Pegova is considered.

Analysts emphasized that Russian legislation allows presidential candidates to appoint up to 600 "proxy", their task is to agitate and sometimes act on behalf of the candidate. According to Roszma, Putin's "Putin" will also be the commander of the SPART Battalion "DNR" Artem Zhoga and Russians from the organization supporting the war in Ukraine, we are talking about the State Fund "Defenders of the Fatherland" and the Committee of Families of Fatherland Warriors.

ISW noted that earlier Putin rewarded for the loyalty of Kotz, Sladkova and Pegova. He probably uses the designations of "proxies" to be even more encouraged by the ultradranationalist troops. The Kremlin can use troops to restore the "Kremlin dominance in the information space and to conduct information operations" for it and elections.

We will remind, on December 8 in Roszma reported that the election of the President of the Russian Federation will be held within three days - from 15 to 17 March. According to the decision of the Central Election Commission, the adjoining voting will be used in four new regions - Bryansk, Kursk, Belgorod region and temporarily occupied Crimea. On December 11, the media said that the election of the President of Russia plans to hold in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
