Ukraine secretly received Belin drones from Slovenia: how can the Armed Forces use them on the battlefield

The Ukrainian military has been using Slovenian UAVs for some time. C-Astral collects their feedback to make the new model even better. The Slovenian C-Astral drone manufacturer gave Belin reconnaissance drones without public troops, and the new version of Belin-V will be improved from the enemy and its own radio electronic fighting systems. About it reports the portal Defense News.

"In fact, this drone is used by Ukrainians and used for a while," said Defense News Jerney Modern, interlocutor with C-astral, at the GSOF symposium in Brno. -We have some channels of communication with servicemen who use them to obtain reverse 'and introduction of appropriate improvements. " The company could not inform when and how many drones were put in Ukraine, but noted that it had recently happened and involved several systems.

It is also unclear whether the systems were sent directly and exclusively to the company or the Slovenia Ministry of Defense, since drones of this type are operated in the country. The Ministry of Defense of the country also refused to comment on this topic. The Belin drone is a drone designed primarily for reconnaissance, reconnaissance and observation, as well as for escorting.

The catapult system has a maximum duration of three hours and can operate up to 40 kilometers at a direct visibility line. The company stated that radio electronic struggle was a major problem for its drones in Ukraine, and the other operator and instructor of the C-Astral drone stressed the need to increase the stability of navigation systems to breaking or loss of signal.

"We also see examples of a friendly electronic war, when Ukraine's radio electronic struggle systems are silenced, hindering effective command and control," said the Anonymous interlocutor of Defense News. "The company now improves to prevent such situations and is constantly improving the new Belin-V. " Since its debut in 2007, the C-Astral defense business has expanded. The founder of Marko Pelkhan reported that in 2022 the company's revenue increased by 262%, and the profit increased from € 1.
