The Russians have been trying to capture Pokrovsk for over a year, and if they will eventually achieve this goal, it will open their way to the offensive on Kramatorsk and Slavyansk.
The spokesman of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army Serhiy Bratchuk earlier reported the "strategic regrouping" of enemy troops, which determined that the Russians planned to attack the Pokrovsky direction most intensively. Bratchuk also mentioned the Novopavlovsky direction: according to him, Russia can try to bypass Pokrovsk and try to enter the territory of Dnipropetrovsk region.
