"We lost this object": a scientist about the strike of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on Dniproges (video)

Mikhail Yatsyuk, Director of the Institute of Water Problems and Reclamation of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine (NAAS), reported this on the air of Kyiv 24. According to him, there is no threat of flooding hundreds of thousands of hectares, as it was due to the blasting of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station. He does not expect such accidents. Yatsuk assured that experts would carefully inspect the object.

According to him, work on elimination of consequences is actively conducting. "We have lost this facility," the expert said. Russian invaders, in his words, knew how important the hydroelectric power station is for the Ukrainian economy. That is why the appropriate attack was applied. On the Dnieper hydroelectric power station, on March 22, Russian invaders managed to strike eight missile strikes.

According to the Head of the Department of Combating Crime in the Conditions of Armed Conflict of the Prosecutor General Yuri Belousov, the hydroelectric power plant is really failed, but there is no danger to residents of Zaporizhzhya region. The director of Ukrhydroenergo Igor Sirota in a comment to Radio Svoboda stated that a trash was recorded on the territory of Dniproges.

According to him, it is unknown how a rocket attack of the Russian Federation will eventually affect the work of the Dnieper hydroelectric power station. At the same time, the losses due to shelling are significant, so the situation is critical. The orphan emphasized that the Dnieper hydroelectric power station consists of two stations-HPP-1 and HPP-2.

As for hydroelectric power plants - 2, the situation is critical there, it remains unknown how it will be able to work further, as well as what its capacity will be. The army of the Russian Federation attacked the station with two missiles, as a result, there are direct hit. The mass shelling of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has led to the leakage of petroleum products into the Dnieper.
