The Russian military surpassed their predecessors in the crime over 13 years. The laws of the aggressor country work so that the gravity of the crime for the Russians is almost irrelevant. In the Russian Federation recorded a record increase in crime rates among servicemen. This was reported on October 15 at the NSDC created by the Center for Combating Misinformation. In 2024 alone, more than 6,000 soldiers were condemned in Russia.

This is twice as much as last year and a record number in the last 13 years. The CPD emphasized that crime growth is a direct consequence of the Kremlin's policy that "criminalizes" its army. The fact is that the Russian Federation massively replenishes the occupation army, recruiting fighters in prisons.

At the same time, the laws adopted by Moscow allow the dismissal of the suspect from the court and punishment at the stage of investigation and trial, if he agrees to fight in Ukraine and sign a contract. The gravity of the crime "almost irrelevant". "So thousands of Russian criminals find themselves in the army and are not afraid to commit another crime, because they have the opportunity to avoid punishment again and return to the war," the CPD emphasized.
