For strikes in the deep rear of the Russian Federation: Britain is sending the Armed Forces of Ukraine more Storm Shadow missiles, — media

Share: Bloomberg's sources said that Ukraine received additional long-range missiles from Great Britain for strikes against Russia. The new supply should provide the Defense Forces with weapons for the winter, when the threat to Ukrainian civilians may increase.

"While Russia is increasingly suffering from sanctions, Great Britain and its allies are trying to show Vladimir Putin that Western support for Ukraine will exceed the ability of the Russian economy to support military operations," Bloomberg emphasized on November 3. After US President Donald Trump refused to supply Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles, the British made their own move. They replenished the reserves of the Armed Forces with Storm Shadow missiles.

This unspecified supply is intended to provide sufficient supplies to strike targets in Russia during the winter months, when the Russian Federation may increase its own attacks against Ukrainian civilians. Storm Shadow allowed the Defense Forces to attack vulnerable places on the territory of the Russian Federation. In particular, in October, the military announced an attack on a Russian chemical plant with the help of this weapon.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces emphasized that the British missiles successfully passed through the air defense system. "The British government has not disclosed how many Storm Shadow missiles it provided to Ukraine during the war, and does not announce the transfer of weapons on a regular basis," the publication noted. In general, the Storm Shadow is a highly accurate air-launched guided missile. Their flight range reaches more than 250 kilometers.

They fly at high speeds close to the earth's surface, using a combination of inertial navigation with a global positioning system and terrain navigation. They were used by the Armed Forces for the first time a year ago — the day after the first use of ATACMS. It says US target data is required to use Storm Shadow most effectively. Last week, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced the improvement of Ukraine's prospects after Trump introduced new sanctions against the Russian Federation.

"We are in a better position," he said, calling the sanctions against Russian oil giants "significant progress. " It will be recalled that the Ukrainian combatant Vyacheslav "Lyutyy" emphasized that the situation in Pokrovsk is extremely critical and not under control. According to him, Russian saboteurs remain in the city and spread chaos. Volunteer and activist Serhiy Sternenko showed what it means when the road is under full fire control of the enemy.
