The director of a private company from Kyiv region, which specializes in the production of unmanned systems, won the tender held at the beginning of the year, conducted by the Netishin City Council of Khmelnytsky region for the purchase of 1 thousand FPV-punks for the needs of the Armed Forces. This was reported in the Security Service of Ukraine. The total cost of the contracts was UAH 16. 4 million, of which, according to the investigation, the entrepreneur stole almost a third.
Navigation equipment was installed for the implementation of the scheme for the scheme, namely, video cameras and low quality video transmitters that did not meet the stated requirements for the technical characteristics of the UAV. Thus, the entrepreneur artificially reduced the cost of production of drones, and the obtained "difference" was appropriated. "Profit" on each drone ranged from 4 to 7. 5 thousand UAH, depending on its type.
In general, according to the Khmelnytsky Regional Prosecutor's Office, the suspect appropriated more than UAH 5. 7 million of budgetary funds. The man has already been declared suspicion under Part 5 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (seizure of property through abuse of office, committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons in a particularly large state of martial law). The issue of election of the defendant of a preventive measure is resolved.
